“When I am in a painting, I'm not aware of what I'm doing. It is only after a sort of 'get acquainted' period that I see what I have been about. I have no fears about making changes, destroying the image, etc, because the painting has a life of its own. I try to let it come through. It is only when I lose contact with the painting that the result is a mess. Otherwise there is pure harmony, an easy give and take, and the painting comes out well.”

Yes I saw Guitarist in the UK was giving away a ukulele if you took out a years subscription. I've moved onto making a mountain dulcimer now,I never seem to master one type of instrument before i start making another!
Hi Andy!
That is a very interesting give away for a guitar magazine.
Good luck with the mountain dulcimer. I own one that was made by a maker in north Mississippi. It was given to me but i must say that i don't really play it. They can be beautiful though. Good luck on your build. I'll be looking out for it. : )
