Ukulele Jamboree No.3...Ukedelic!

The Ukulele Jamboree last night was absolutely amazing! Started off kind of scary though. The Ukulele Intervention is set to start at 8:30 and at 8:15 there were about 6 people there including the Cafe personnel, a TV Camerman and reporter and a newspaper reporter & photographer...Yikes! Nearly gave me a heart attack. But, we waited another 15 minutes and many ukulele players arrived! And actually, i think it was the busiest Ukulele Jamboree ever. Lots of new fun folks turned up! Clever folk too...during the workshop we were amazed at how quickly everybody caught on.

Frederic Henry gave us a lovely performance. He is a charming player. Has a really unique style and performs all of his own original compositions. Very nice indeed. We also had a surprise guest... Bram! (He's the swell lookin' dude in the very handsome shirt with playing cards on it.) Bram has been playing the ukulele for all of 2 1/2 weeks now, and he performed this great song about his dog. I loved it...do it again Bram! Marko & i also did a set and had Frederic join us for the last three tunes...and you know what, we weren't half bad if i may say so myself. Most importantly the audience and participants were great fun. Thanks Ukulele Friends! We look forward to seeing you at the next Jamboree on Dec. the 13th!
