I'm absolutely ecstatic about the election of Barack Obama to the Presidency. Finally someone with integrity, intelligence and vision! And, there is a Ukulele connection! Barack Obama was born in Hawaii, home of the Ukulele and one of his friends and financial advisors is Warren Buffet. Warren Buffet is a multi-bejillionaire, a major philanthropist and player of the ukulele. He opens up his share-holders meetings with a little tune on the uke...Isn't that cool?!

There's even a photo of Obama holding a ukulele, which has become a favorite of mine now. I find his ukulele fraternization much more interesting than his links to Ayers. ;)

If I were to attend one of the ukulele events you do, what would be the most important words and phrases to know if I wanted to come to the lesson part? I'm new here to the Netherlands and my Dutch is in its infancy.
Well, that wouldn't be much of a problem actually. Plus, i can always do a bit of explainin' in english when needed. There are usually more people in the audience that don't speak dutch. You should come! Where are you from originally and where do you reside in the Netherlands?
