Backstage with Goslink
It was a real honor to perform with Goslink during his CD release parties in The Paradiso and Theater Walhalla. He's my favorite. I've been playing his new CD all of the time, so wonderful. In case you haven't heard of Goslink yet i'll be very happy to introduce you to him.
A special thank you to Leine for this lovely photograph. Leine also performed at Goslink's CD release parties. I'm just discovering her music and it is a real find. She writes wonderful songs and has an incredibly charming presentation. Visit her website here.

Happy 100th Birthday to Jaap Valkhoff
Jaap Valkhoff is a legendary song writer and accordion player from Rotterdam. His glory time was back in the good old days when a man was a sailor, a woman was a dame and a hooker was a hooker. He would have been 100 years old on the 16th of August 2010. Here is our humble version of one of his most famous tunes "Diep In Mijn Hart". I definitely recommend you also watch this video of Jaap performing this song at his home in 1990.

WOO-oooo-ooo Doggy!
Been awhile since i posted anything. I guess that is because we've been so busy playing and planning a lot for the coming season. The Ukulele Jamboree (Best damn ukulele show in the Lowlands hosted by Marko and myself) is coming up, The Big Damn Ukulele Band has also started up again and there are several other special projects we'll be tackling soon. Besides this, i'm very busy sewing myself some new clothes for Fall/Winter. Oh, and another thing that has also slowed my posting down...my damn camera busted. Unfortunately i can't afford a new one yet. Got to fatten up that piggy bank first. None the less, there will be plenty of cool posts in the near future i'm sure. Till then, here's a photograph of Marko, Romano and myself having a little jam with our new Argentinian friend, Saverio Maccarone. That boy can play y'all!
p.s. Marko just told me he really didn't like this photograph of himself. He said, "i look like such a banjo player". What the hell does that mean!? Unless he's referring to that Banjo player in Deliverance. No way baby, I love my good lookin' Banjo Player.
